Red Tulips in Black Vase

These slightly droopy but brightly-hued tulips caught my eye today. They are sitting on the table in our entryway, remnants of a Valentine tableau.

I'd like to welcome everyone to my new Blogger blog. Thank you for coming from Christine's Art Blog (which was having problems showing up properly in Internet Explorer). I hope you like what you see, and that you'll check back soon!

You can view a collection of my sketches (first shown on my prior blog) in the left sidebar. See, just up and to your left, there. And please feel free to leave me a comment, to let me know that you've found me. Thanks!

All my best,
Christine

Hi Christine,

I followed you over from wordpress.

I'll try not to be such a lurker on this one.

Hi Vicki,

I'm so glad you followed me here!

And there is nothing wrong with lurking, LOL!

Thanks for visiting!

Hello! Lovely tulips.

I can't really blame you for moving over from Wordpress, it's been a bit weird for me lately, although I'm just using the standard filepath rather than a different web address. I don't know how it all works really... well I should do, but I've forgotten.

If this posts then it works for me!

Oh yes - all 4 'choose an identity' options, which is good and the least problematic for everyone. :)

BEAUTIFUL---the arrangement with the droopy one is sooo pleasing and the choice of black vase is perfect...it helps set the drama of this work. The site looks very good, too!

your blog's looking great. and seems to be working smoothly too... love the tulips - gorgeous.

Rachel, thank you. And I'm glad you like the 4 "choose an identity" options, too. I agree that it makes it so much easier for everyone!

Winna, thanks for your kind comments about my tulip photo and site! The droopy tulip was a happy serendipity!

Thank you, Sarah! And I am so relieved that Blogger is behaving well.

New space looks great, Christine!! I switch your blog name in the list of CED participants too.

Looking good, Christine! I seem to like Blogger, too...so far no real problems for me, and I've been here a couple of months now. May our luck hold!

Welcome to Blogger! I love the blog design, your banner is lovely.

You did ask on EDM to let you know if the favicon is showing up. It does show up for me in Firefox and Safari but not in Camino - don't know why not but thought I'd let you know!

Leah, thanks for updating my Creative Everyday listing :)

Kate (Cathy), yes, knock on wood! May our good Blogger luck hold!

Angeltreats, I really appreciate you letting me know about the appearing/ not appearing favicon. I notice it does not appear in Internet Explorer, either. Looks like I need to do a little detective work...

Is it much easier than wordpress then? I'm having yet more problems - when I upload a picture in wp-admin, the screen is totally blank when it's meant to take me back to the post, so I can't do anything with it at all at the moment. I might follow you over!

Aaaargh......

(Ha ha, my word verification is 'uninstal'. I think the universe is hinting...)

Hi Rachel,
I laughed when I read that your word verification was "uninstal." Yes, maybe it's a sign, LOL!

To answer your question, I am finding blogger very easy to use. The pictures upload easily, and comments are readily accepted. The "followers" widget is nice, and I like to be able to see thumbnails of recent posts in my blogroll.

There are some things I preferred in Wordpress, however, such as the ability to have Pages and Categories.

But overall, I'm happy to have switched.

Good luck and let me know if you decide to make the move!
